Questions we often get
How can I get the right tutor? By following our 'Find a tutor' page you can view all the tutors from the subject you choose. By looking at their information and tutoring specialities you can decide which tutor is perfect for you! Before your first lesson you can also book a short meeting with your tutor to meet them aswell!
Is online tutoring better than in person? Anywhere and anytime, students can benefit from our online tutoring, having the option to learn from wherever suits them. With UMG our tutors can help you build your confidence and fill you in with anything unclear. No tutors in your area? We've got you covered. With one-to-one tailored tutoring to each student, we can allow young students to unleash their potential and get the grades they deserve!
Can I book multiple lessons? Yes! Students can book as many lessons as they wish as long as it fits in with their tutors schedule. The latest you can book a session is 48 hours before the slot.
Can I pick my tutor? Yes! You can pick the tutor for you on our 'find a tutor' page to find a tutor tailored and suited just for you.
How do online lessons work? When you book a lesson you will be able to access a link via email to Microsoft Teams, ( this may be in your spam/junk folder) once you accept this we can add you to a private channel with your tutor (please accept this in good time). Your tutor will then schedule the lesson from there onwards.
What do I need to remember after booking a lesson? 1. Download Microsoft Teams. 2. Access the link sent to your email and sign in to Microsoft Teams. 3. Once we have added you to your chat with your tutor, please ensure notifications are turned on in the chat to enhance communication with your tutor incase of any questions or altercations. 4. Tune into teams at the arranged date and time of your lesson. 5. After your lesson, please feel free to leave your tutor a review!
Do the tutors understand the current exam content? We only provide tutors who've spent no more than 2 years since their A-Levels. This way we can ensure that our tutors have that A* knowledge of their subject fresh and at your disposal.
